Experience
Although the final transitional arrangements for Building Regulations ended 6 April 2024 it is only in 2025/26 that the first schemes are completing under the updated standards.
ICA have been tracking the development of the Building Safety Act, supplementary legislation and changes in Building regulations as they developed since 2021 and were fortunate to be party to peripheral measures such as a pilot for Mandatory Occurrence Reporting that now forms part of the guidance. In 2022, our team were involved in pilot schemes taking new flatted developments through the principles of BSA2022 ahead of final publication, with a proactive Local Authority client using a live scheme to develop their own capability.
We work for all client groups, and contractors, their supply chain and designers with a strong, established network of industry relationships and already have a solid track record of success.

Testimonials
What our clients say about working with ICA.
Working with ICA has benefited Bugler with updating our procedures to assist with our approach to Building Safety. They took the time to understand how we operate, from tenders and delivery to handover and defects and helped us develop a management system that our teams can follow in the real world. Their training was excellent, and the ongoing Building Safety audits and site inspections keep standards high and provide the assurance we need. ICA feel like an extension of our project teams on site.
As a client, having ICA manage the golden thread has given us genuine assurance. They've brought clarity, governance, and discipline to information management, ensuring the right evidence is collected, gaps are identified early, and the record is maintained throughout the project. Critically, ICA's approach gives us confidence that the golden thread is complete and accurate, so it can be relied upon for future Building Safety assessments and decisions, removing the need for intrusive surveys and avoidable disruption later.
ICA don't just advise on the Building Safety Act; they test and verify it through robust BSA audits and collaborative site inspection reporting. Their proactive approach strengthens compliance and quality, giving me confidence as a director that our duties are being met and liability is being properly managed.
